#SOOP on Sundays: Top 20 popular book ideas for October 28, 2019

We have our new TOP 20 Book Ideas and Story Ideas for the week of October 21st to October 27th, 2019.

“You don’t start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking it’s good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it.
That’s why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.”  Octavia E. Butler

As with all things in life, persistence pays in writing. So many of our literary heroes share tales of rejection letter after rejection letter along with the first 100 publishers passing on what would turn out to be a classic work of fiction.

The good news is we do start out thinking we’re writing good stuff. We fall in love with the process and the language. This love keeps us motivated, keeps us persistent in our writing. The pretense of writing good stuff eventually becomes the reality.

Allow your coaches and colleagues at SOOP to assist you during this transition. Share your Book Idea or Story Idea with the SOOP community, and as you learn to market your Idea, you’ll also learn that persistence not only helps your writing but also helps your branding.

Below, please find Book Ideas and Story Ideas that made this past week’s top 20. Vote for the Ideas you like. And notice the efforts their authors put into their marketing. Perhaps you, too, can find a path to persistence in both sharing your Idea, as well as to committing to your writing.

How Do I Make the Top 20?

The Top 20 is our weekly culmination of the votes for the week. By formulating the number of votes a Book Idea or Story Idea receives and how quickly the Book Idea or Story Idea received those votes, along with a few more details from the past week, we are able to determine the order and placement of the Top 20. There are a few ways to help you make it on both lists.

How about an Anthology Idea? SOOP is already supporting several curators with anthologies. Maybe your Anthology Idea could be next…? Curating an anthology can be a powerful way to build your brand and to connect with people who share your cause.

For DIY authors, SOOP hosts Marketing Monday, a series of posts chock full of tips and tricks for boosting your audience from the ground. For those looking for interactive help, SOOP offers several packages designed to help with your Marketing Plan. Take a minute and check them out. In addition to a higher standard for your homework, our panel of experts provides personalized feedback, arming you with more information and allowing you to adjust course when necessary.
