Beth Rule is passionate about holistic health, fitness, travel and the great outdoors and has traveled to over 43 countries. She is also a lifetime student of the Bible, and her service in Christian youth work spans three decades. She is a continuous learner, holds an MBA and is English/German bilingual with additional studies in Russian, French and Spanish. Her professional experience includes work for a Christian non-profit publishing firm, an IGO, private clients, and both Fortune 500 and mid-market industrial service companies, with over 23 years in the international arena. Beth has held various business roles focused on commercial and project management, legal and compliance, and accounting and finance, with a focus on delivering results both in a startup environment and large enterprises.

Eileen is an avid reader who loves the printed word, whether it be in books, magazines, or newspapers. She honed her skills as an editor and proofreader during sixteen years of service at the Bahá’í World Center where she did much research and writing. She is experienced working with authors for whom English is a second language and with assisting first-time authors. She has three published books to her credit (two with SOOP), and a fourth one is on its way.
Catherine Bordeau

Catherine Bordeau has worked as an editor for multiple publishing houses both in the United States and abroad. Catherine holds degrees in history, writing, ethics, and education. She has worked on numerous book projects, with a healthy balance between fiction and education curriculum. Her favorite aspect of being an editor is the endless learning that accompanies the dive into a new text—how each author sees and explains the world differently. After more than a decade in New York City, she is currently freelancing and is based between Austin and Mexico City.
Rebecca Nutting
Lead Proofreader

Rebecca Nutting has roots working as an in-house editor and social media manager, and now provides editorial services as a freelancer to a wide variety of clients and publishers. She loves the excitement and variety of working as a freelancer, where no one day is like another. She has a BA in English from Boise State University, with an emphasis on Literature. She has attended, and/or worked, myriad events such as the AWP Conference, the LA Times Festival of Books, and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and is a published writer in various literary publications across the country. When she isn’t reading for work or pleasure, you can usually find her somewhere in the mountains: trail running, mountain biking, snowboarding, or paddle boarding with her pup.

Kate is a writing coach and book editor with over ten years of experience offering personalized coaching and editing to both experienced and developing writers who are eager to craft engaging stories and build their skills to successfully write with confidence, joy, and rumbling creativity. When she is not engaged in private coaching for writers, story development, content, developmental, and copy editing, Kate is offering in-person and online writing programs as well as creative development courses.  SOOP is very proud to incorporate Kate’s coaching into our free platform offerings, through the use of her videos, and to be able to offer her services directly as part of our Author Driven Publishing Certification program.  Learn more about Kate at katejohnstonauthor.com

Cameron Lee Cowan
Director of Publications
 

Cameron Lee Cowan, originally from Denver via Northwest Arkansas, began his writing journey in 2005 with essays and short stories. With a vintage flair in much of his work, he draws inspiration from his experiences in music, fashion, theater, and writing. Cameron strives to tell everyday stories and leave readers with profound thoughts. While writing about the world in The Cameron Journal and crafting novels, he aims to provide observations and allows readers to form their own opinions.

Politics and public policy have been Cameron’s primary passion since high school, having studied political science and creative writing. He has been actively involved in politics, starting at the local level in Colorado and later transitioning to media through magazines and terrestrial radio. In 2013, he reignited his passion for fiction alongside his work in political media.

Cameron oversees content curation and production for SOOP Anthologies, which includes responsibility for our annual Short Story contest.

Michael Grossman
Interior Design
 
Michael has over 20 years of experience in print design, multilingual typesetting, and prepress with the main focus on books, magazines, and brochures. He works on a whole range of programs such as Adobe CC and Microsoft Office. While studying graphic design, his first design job was with a small print shop where he learned as much about design and the overall print process through hands-on work as he did in the classroom. From there, he’s worked in a variety of design jobs, both full-time and freelance. Since moving to Prague, Czech Republic, he also began including multilingual typesetting into his wheelhouse of skills in which he learned the individual nuances and rules of typesetting in nearly all European and East Asian languages. Highlight book projects include working with publishers like The Times Books and HarperCollins, with the first being sponsored by UNESCO and another being the Atlas of Canada sponsored by Canadian Geographic. He has also worked with a whole host of independent authors covering a wide range of subjects and formats such as coffee table photo books, novels, textbooks, Bibles, study guides, and travel guides. And he has also worked with a number of smaller publishers (including Something or Other Publishing) on an equally diverse range of books.
Dragan Bilic

Dragan Bilic is a Bachelor of Arts graduate with seven years of graphic design experience. Dragan specializes in book covers and internal layout design. He is a top-rated designer of the Upwork community with over 450 references, and a multiple award winner at 99designs and Designcrowd web platforms. Dragan has a rich experience working with individual authors as well as with publishing companies among which are: Gefen Publishing from Jerusalem, Secant Publishing USA, and Electric Reads UK, among others.

Karla Rodriguez
Director of Operations
 
Karla is a specialized Engineer with an MBA in Business Administration and Project Management. She possesses a strong skill set in process organization and continuous improvement, coupled with extensive knowledge in CRM, Social Media, and control reporting using various tools. Karla is passionate about music and art!

Marketing

Jesus Bracho
Director of Marketing
 
Jesus E. Bracho is a growth hacker, with a degree in Business Administration from Santa Fe College. His specialties are small business strategy, copywriting, and social media marketing, and he brings these skills to bear both for SOOP and our Authors, leveraging his roots developed in delivering small assistant jobs and his own experience as the business owner of two start-ups in his home country. His vision, adaptability, and empathy have shaped him to become SOOP’s Marketing Director, leading a team of resources who are responsible for SOOP’s overall Marketing efforts.
Christian Parish
Digital Marketing Specialist
 
Christian Parish has been managing the paid digital marketing efforts for SOOP since February 2020. Christian has worked on digital campaigns for a variety of organizations with a background in performance marketing and analytics. Christian helps authors promote their works, connects readers to relevant story ideas, and offers a digital strategy for SOOP’s goals. SOOP is pleased to grant Authors in our Author Certification Program direct access to Christian to assist them in how to expand their readership across new audiences.
Veronica Coello
Digital Arts & Media Design
 
Veronica Coello is a UX Designer with excellent skills and experience in Canva and Adobe Illustrator. She has developed her expertise by working with retailers, local magazines, and online stores. Veronica is always catching up to new trends to keep the SOOP brand fresh and take our marketing materials to the highest level.
Lamuye Adewale
Social Media Marketing Specialist
 
Lamuye Adewale is a Lead Operations assistant with a focus on social media and email marketing as well as routine operations. Lamuye holds a Social Media Strategy for Small Businesses and International Field Experience Certificate awarded to him in The Gambia. Lamuye has been with SOOP since July 2019.

Miguel Torrellas is a writer and reporter from the University of Florida, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in Latin American Studies. While he tends to focus on music and film as his favorite subjects to cover, he has handled everything from social work to local business and city government, both as a representative of North Florida’s WUFT News and as an independent creator. After years of working in multiple international environments in customer relationships and content managing, he has developed strong interviewing and editing skills, making him a strong addition to any communications-based endeavor.

Daniel is the Founder and CEO of planksip®, which has a registered Canadian trademark describing a methodology of promoting and propagating thought concepts and intellectual property for non-fiction authors and Academics. As a Science and Philosophy writer, Daniel is an active blogger, author, and father of two living on Vancouver Island. As self-described “Flâneur”, Daniel draws inspiration for his epistemological schema on topics related to Newtonian Giants, Artificial Intelligence, Free Will, Philosophy, Psychology, Mathematics, and Quantum Physics. Phrases like, “driven by Data and propagated through the Praxis of planksip®”, summarize his “modus operandi” of Truth supported by evidence and evolution.

Anne Marie Waters is a British Politician and SOOP Author, with two bestselling books to her credit.Waters was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, and went to school in Stoneybatter in the city’s Northside. She studied Journalism at Nottingham Trent University in England, graduating in 2003, and gained a Law degree in London. After a decade in the Labour Party, Waters joined the UK Independence Party (UKIP).   She launched Sharia Watch UK,  in April 2014 NS announced her intention to stand in the 2017 UKIP leadership election in early July 2017, coming second with 2,755 votes, a 21.3% share. Waters left UKIP to form and lead the For Britain Party from 2018 until its dissolution in 2022.  Anne Marie is currently taking a break from politics to focus on writing.
