The Name of The Game is Persistence

Is your mouth this big? Well it should be! Figuratively speaking, anyway.
This is a simple, simple concept. This isn’t a trick. It’s barely a tip. It’s more of a cautionary tale. You see, without persistence in all things, there will only be failure.
As aspiring authors, you probably already know that seeing a project through to the end is not easy. And marketing is the same way. It will not be easy every step of the way. There will be set backs, missteps, and decisions that have no discernible yield. But you cannot become discouraged.
Google persistence in marketing and you will find not only blog articles like this one but scholarly articles like these. Ask anyone in sales and they will tell you the same thing. Why sales, you might ask? Because the people that sell things on a daily basis know all the same concepts you do, and they put those concepts to use every single day and they get results. You are selling your Book Idea, and receiving votes as payment. Be persistent, just like them. And not every sale goes perfectly. The tried and true pitches don’t work on everyone, which brings me to my next point.
Try and try again, my dears, because until the job is done, you won’t get what you want. So you must be persistent. And more than persistent, your plan must be smart. Even though Inc.com posted an article about persistence being more important that planning, a solid plan makes things go more smoothly. If the plan you used before didn’t work than you should try something else. Take a step back and do your research. Figure out what didn’t work before. And then move forward. Don’t give up. You can do it!
I have a book written. It’s like nothing you’ve ever read. Want to find out how the underground world of BigWave Surfing is conquered? I have one hell of a manuscript & all I need is some copy edits & my photography is included!
