‘The Coming of the Glory: How the Hebrew Scriptures Reveal the Plan of God, vol. 2’ By Eileen Maddocks

The first volume of The Coming of the Glory trilogy followed the trail of God’s Plan, from a Bahá’í perspective, to raise human consciousness starting at the end of the Ice Age 12,000 years ago with the temple site of Göbekli Tepe, and moving through the Neolithic Revolution and the flowering of civilization in the Mesopotamian city-states. Then it reviewed some of the known great teachers of mankind including Adam in Mesopotamia and Abraham, Joseph, Moses, and Elijah in the “nest of the prophets,” the Holy Land. Volume two covers the pre-exilic prophets from Amos to Jeremiah, who all shined a spotlight on God who, as Isaiah said, declared the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what was still to come (Isaiah 46:10). The awe and excitement increase as the second volume of The Coming of the Glory explores not only the prophecies for Israelite times and their fulfillment, but also the prophecies for our time, some of which have come to fruition and have affected all of us, regardless of whether we recognize this. Others are in the process of unfoldment and are bringing trials, tribulations, and catastrophes on one hand but, more importantly, tremendous opportunities for individuals and society to explore God’s Plan for the spiritual nurturance and advancement of humanity.
