Description
I’m excited to be included in this inaugural anthology, SOOP’s Finest, a collection of the best stories of SOOP’s Annual Writing Contest. Anthologies from Something Or Other Publishing have been increasingly successful, garnering excellent reviews and critical acclaim. You can learn a little bit more about my specific short story below:
Based on largely true events in my life, the story is set in the 90’s after the fall of the Soviet Union. It follows a misprint of my name and title on a conference agenda in Prague resulting in me being recruited to fly to Eastern Europe to consult with NATO in former Communist countries, encounters and secret meetings with ex-Soviet generals, spies, bags of money, Ukrainian Mafia and much more – and eventually investigation and meetings with the FBI.
