I’m excited to be included in the Women Write Now, Volume 1, an anthology of personal stories of trauma and recovery from women around the world. Anthologies from Something Or Other Publishing have been increasingly successful, garnering excellent reviews and critical acclaim. You can learn a little bit more about my short story below:
My story includes a traumatic even which occurred just as we moved from one small town in Indiana to another, even smaller town just before I started Kindergarten. We stayed in Tipton from Kindergarten through my graduation from High School, and my parents still live there even today.
About the Author
Terri Parke is a mental health therapist who also writes and participates in supporting non-profits. With a BS in Psychology from Indiana University and an MA in Counseling from the University of Cincinnati, Terri is licensed in both Indiana and Texas as a mental health therapist. Terri specializes in trauma in her practices, and likes to write about it on her blog, www.terriswritings.com, as well as this story she submitted for SOOP.
Terri is a mom to twin boys who are in their early 20’s, and is married to Matt. Terri lives in McKinney, which is just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas.
