‘Those Who Feel No Pain’ By Sirius

In the heart of London, there is a mad, disabled scientist who calls himself The Mariner. Snubbed by his peers and nearly penniless from his experiments, he works tirelessly by sewing human corpses to the tails of oarfish and submerging them in a jelly of his own creation. By giving them life, he seeks to fill the Thames with mermaids, and in the process hopes to earn the patronage of Queen Victoria.
