“I couldn’t catch my breath. It felt like my lungs were on fire and my legs could give out at any second. The pain in my side refused to ease, a dark bruise was already forming. Yet I knew I had to keep running.

Gurgling sounds, screams, and heavy footsteps could be heard from behind me. I knew to not look back, I’d lose speed if I dared to do so.

Damon was dead and the rest of the group had been cut off by the huge explosion. These zombie fuckers were relentless.

My mission to find Damon in this run-down mall had changed. I had now begun the mission of getting the fuck out of here.”
