Dr Gladstone is facing one of the hardest times ever in the city of Plugh. He has been inundated with a strange new respiratory illness and can’t find any way of curing it or even stemming the contagion. He seeks assistance from a previous benefactor the hospital recently replaced under misguided circumstances. After receiving a cold reception, Dr Gladstone is pulled into a temporary partnership with the benefactor’s child, who appears to have deductive skills that rival even the best. They set out to find where the infection began, how it spreads and how those affected can be saved.
