‘People on the side of the highway ‘ By Eva J Burke

Samara is driving to work one morning and there’s a line of people walking on the side of the highway. They are all going in the same direction. People who have abandoned their cars, all looking up towards the sky and all walking in step with each other. She continues to work, avoiding cars in the middle of the road. She sees a car intentionally wreck his car and join the march. When she arrives at work there are only a few cars in the parking lot. She calls her best friend. They compare notes on the strange activities of the morning. It gets worse as the day goes on. Soon Samara sees that there’s more to what’s going on and she wonders if she’ll survive day.
