I share how being diagnosed with cancer (and successfully treated) in 1989 and again in 2015 led me to create the Zambian Cancer Society in 2009 whose mission is to support cancer patients and their families irrespective of age, gender or type or cancer. This has not been easy considering that in Zambia, the disease is still shrouded in mystery and fenced in silence with a 5 year survival rate from any cancer of less than 30 percent. Through my story, I hope to inspire others to live their life passionately on purpose!
