‘A Circle of Roses’ By S.J. Pendergraft

The story of nine children born under mysterious circumstances to a village’s miller. The eight girls and one boy are capable of finding their way no matter how dark or how unfamiliar the landscape. One day, all the girls suddenly stand in a circle and walk away, following eight different directions. The boy remains in the village, raising a family and growing old, but before his death, presents his fellow villagers with an invention: a compass rose.
