The book is about a group of assassins that do the empires dirty work. The world is surrounded by sword and sorcery with a mix of flintlock pistols. The hunters all have abilities that develop when they are younger the story is based around a young man that his powers develop and is taken in by these hunters. As time goes on the king sees what a danger the hunters are and assembles a group of soldiers that are altered to combat these hunters they face a challenge stay a fight or flee and regroup. Now they are outlaws wanted by the crown and the book is meant to be a series.
