Publish with SOOP

SOOP’s approach to publishing is a little bit different. It’s all about keeping the author at the center of the process, and giving them them tools and support they need to achieve success as they define it. Our process focuses on educating and empowering authors to master what we call the three P’s: production, platform, and promotion. Here’s how authors can progress from submission to publication when working with SOOP:

  • First, review our submission guidelines, to see what types of works we typically accept. We accept a wide variety, so don’t be shy.
  • If your work falls within those accepted genres, submit your book idea!
  • SOOP publishes your idea on our site free of charge — take a look at some of our current ideas here
  • After your Idea is up, you can work to obtain votes for your idea from the public at large. SOOP can help you out with subscriptions to our Marketing Packages.
  • As you work your way toward the 2,000 vote threshold– and contract eligibility — you will have two options of the SOOP expert feedback experience: The Free and Premium Paths. Explore your options, and get started!

SOOP Contract Checklist 1 9 2016

Unlike vanity or subsidy publishing, SOOP authors avoid spending their own money or giving away rights in ways that they will live to regret. Unlike traditional commercial publishing, SOOP authors are in full control of the process and decisions at each step of the journey, in ways that ensure the fair distribution of risk and reward to all parties. Authors who submit their ideas to SOOP can walk away at any time prior to signing a contract, and they will take the benefits and publicity they’ve earned with them.

If you have any questions about the process, please don’t hesitate to contact us today or check out a more detailed explanation of our process! We look forward to the opportunity to work together.
