‘Waves’ By RomeoCano

A memoir on bravery, and how the act of it can lead to self-confidence.

The short story begins with my description of the beach and specifications of the particular day. But, as I dive into the sea, memories of the past begin to flood my mind. The memory of the day I had taken the courage to brave the waves and attempted a beach-to-beach swim.

I retell the disappointment I felt as waves pushed me back, and the hope I experienced once I managed to overcome them. My story is finished with a comparison between what has changed and how each new conquest through the waves have never felt as amazing as back then, when I had taken the initiative to push my comfort zone.
