‘The Underwood’ By Sarah Rasmussen

The Underwood is a proud old girl of a typewriter who wants to tell you about a lady who owned her recently. This lady, Lorraine Miller, is writing letters to her son, Thomas, who is in an unknown location. Lorraine writes to him regularly and it is slowly revealed that Thomas is in fact in prison, and as the letters go along it becomes clear everything is not what you expect, and the Underwood has been keeping things from you. All is revealed in the last letter and we discover that Thomas died in prison some time ago after committing heinous crimes, and Lorraine is in fact, losing her mind.
