In this non-chronological short story, Zander deals with losing his love, Gaby. He struggles in confrontations with his psychiatrist as well as an apparition only he sees, Lethe. Hatred for what happened consumes him, but he refuses to accept the truth and only blames others.
The last scene, in Gaby’s POV, reveals the truth-trigger of it all. Zander was abusive and Gaby finally leaving him is what wrecked him, but he still won’t accept that he was at fault.
