The souls of a japanese scholar and an Egyptian/Hittite girl roam the world after their deaths, somehow left behind by the universe’s system.
To abide their time which may or may not be eternity, they choose lives of humans on earth, on which they bet.
One of them will bet on their souls being retrieved before the life of this human ends, the other bets against this. If the girl wins, they will oficially date, as far as this is possible without a material body, and if the scholar wins, they break up. Every round, they switch the side they bet on.
