‘Frank and Lily’ By Sian Fullerton

Recovering addict Frank and his dog, Lily, don’t have much going for them. Living in Vancouver, they spend much of their time merely surviving, or at the downtown dog park. After meeting a young boy who’s also experienced trauma, Frank invites him to a nearby boxing gym, in the hope of eventually becoming his coach. The promise of a friendship blooms and Frank questions whether he has the capacity to maintain any sort of human relationship.
