‘Atrophy’ By Ginger Simons

Marisol isn’t feeling very well.

Body horror works best when it contains a central metaphor. Usually, this metaphor regards fear of the body, the inability to control it, and the body as a separate entity from the mind. In this short story, body horror is a vehicle for exploring eating disorders and body dysmorphia.
