Description

I’m so honored to be included in Women Write Now Volume 1, an anthology of personal stories of trauma and recovery from women around the world. Anthologies from Something Or Other Publishing have been increasingly successful, garnering excellent reviews and critical acclaim. You can learn more about my specific short story below:

In September of 2012 I was in the 8th month of my first pregnancy, with my son Gionni. I was also out on bail from marijuans charges stemming from 2010. My biggest fear was giving birth to my son while incarcerated. And just like that my bail was revoked and that would soon become my reality. What I didn’t see coming was how horrifying this would be and that this would soon become an international headline across all media and news platforms. I wish I could say things got better. So for the first time I will telling my story without the salacious storylines and half truths!
