Pain, Death, and a Horse

I’m excited to be included in Women Write Now Volume I, an anthology of personal stories of trauma and recovery from women around the world. Anthologies from Something Or Other Publishing have been increasingly successful, garnering excellent reviews and critical acclaim. You can learn a little bit more about my specific short story below:

This story follows my experience of having to choose to have my beloved horse euthanized. My horse was my best friend at the time and having to make this choice was both heartbreaking and traumatic.

About the Author

Gretchen Mayer-Yeh is a pianist, copywriter, and adjunct professor who holds her Masters degree in Piano Performance. She has had several articles and interviews published in music magazines such as Sax Magazine, Bass Magazine, and Piano Magazine. She also contributed in the publication of Western Humanities and Christian Thoughts. Her memoir Pain, Death, and a Horse was recently acquired by Something Or Other Publishing and will be released in the near future.
