Following the Current

I’m excited to be included in Women Write Now Volume I, an anthology of personal stories of trauma and recovery from women around the world. Anthologies from Something Or Other Publishing have been increasingly successful, garnering excellent reviews and critical acclaim.

My short story, “Following the Current,” closely examines my thoughts in the middle of the COVID-19 Pandemic, and reflects deeply on the first half of my life. My family, traveling, and close friendships serve as my muses.

About the Author

G.G. (Giana Gallardo) Hesterberg was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. She studied at Central College in Pella, Iowa, and received a Bachelor\\\\\\\’s degree in Elementary Education in 2004. She published her first book, Stories by the Seashore, in March of 2019. Her second book, Music, Music, You Can Too!, a nonfiction children\\\\\\\’s book, was released in July 2020.
