The whole story is through the view of a soldier storming the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944, or D-Day. They lose a lot of their friends along the way, including his brother, James. Soon after, he makes it behind a barricade, and prays to God that his wife and unborn child always remember him. Then, everything blacks out and it is soon revealed that something triggered his PTSD.
