‘The Renaissance King’ By Timothy Everett Acker

Professor of History is maneuvered into playing the part of King in the largest Renaissance Festival in US, he fills in at short notice due to the sudden murder of the last guy who played it, he’s joined by a new queen there who is a private investigator hired by the dead Kings family. They both fall in and out of love while experiencing the deep complexities of their position and learning how sometimes crazy things happen with those who make a living at being players every year are really like after dark, at the end the professor is worthy of everyone’s respect as a true king and he marries the queen and they find the true killer or killers.
