‘The Recital’ By Wade Fransson

My career as a pianist started and ended with my first recital, in my first year of Piano, as a Sophomore in College. Much to my amazement, I brought amusement to the Student Body and the invited guests. I earned a standing ovation when a few believed they had just witnessed an exceptional well planned comedy act, and many others applauded foolish bravery, while most were genuinely celebrating one of the funniest public meltdowns they had ever witnessed in a long time – mine.
