‘The Irony of Righteous Men ‘ By Gabriella White

This postmodern short story is a historiographic metafictional account of a Boston Witch Trial led by Cotton Mathers prior to the infamous Salem Witch Trials. The narrative is told from Mathers’ perspective, effectively exposing his horrific puritanical thinking in regards to women and sexuality, dedoxifying the old religious movement in relation to modern religions that still sexually repress and harass women.
