‘The Flowers of Forget-me-not’ By beshiwap_ganern

He was from 1861. She was from 1875.
He was from the Philippines. She was from Ireland.
But despite the gap, they flourished a rainbow within their hearts. Despite having different nationalities, their love spread throughout and conquered each other’s hearts and souls.

But enemies tried to break their relationship. They wanted to kill the man because of musketry, leaving the Irish woman behind, eyes bathed in tears.

The flowers of forget-me-not will be a reminder for the man of his golden last years, despite being miles and provinces away from his hometown in Laguna.

A few hours before he died for his beloved country, the Pearl of the Orient Seas, he said his vows to his partner. Even though they will be recognized as a couple for only a few hours, never have they forgotten those promises.

“Wherever you are, I will never forget you.”

This is a biographical story/excerpt taken from sources about Philippine history.
