‘The Corvid’ By Chandra Menezes

Martin, a young college student, purchases a painting of a crow from a local second hand store. He keeps it, despite his roommate Adam’s insistance that there is something off with the painting. As time goes on however, Adam begins to act strange, seemingly worshiping the painting, and it becomes increasingly clear to Martin that perhaps he’s gotten more than he bargained for.
