Shipwrecked into Fantasy sails the reader into a mirage of imagination, fame and appreciation. It is a light-hearted and entertaining dream poem which describes how the poet, Vansh Malhotra, rejoices while performing on the stage as a celebrity while eating the attention and pride of the audience. But in the end, it is deemed a mirage when his mother’s voice wakes him up from his fantasy, and he realizes he is just an ordinary boy who has to start his daily routine on time. It is also comical to see how the poet got shipwrecked into fantasy that spilled water on his hopes and expectations. The poem uses oxymorons, metaphors, imagery and personification, which make it all the more fun.
