‘One mistake is all it takes’ By Trinity Kimball

“Please don’t walk away from me Tyler” I beg.
He stares at me in disbelief and waits for me to continue.
“I didn’t mean for any of this to happen” I try to apologize. Of course it backfires.
“You didn’t mean for it to happen, or you didn’t mean for me to find out?”
I take a second to let the words process.
“That’s what I thought” Tyler says and walks out the room.
I wanted to yell back at him to say that was only processing the information. I’m not ready to admit that isn’t true. I need space away from him but my feet head towards the door. I step out of my apartment to look for Tyler and I see him down the hall.
“Tyler wait” I yell.
He stops just to give me a disappointing glare and he turns into the next hallway. My feet fly down the hallways and suddenly stop, when I see my mother walking my way. She doesn’t know about Tyler and she definitely doesn’t have a clue of what I did yesterday, that ruined my furniture.
