‘Ode to Self’ By Okara Imani

This is a collection of introspective and self-actualizing poems written to/from myself. As all words that I write creatively, they’re dated and time-stamped, further placing them chronologically in the order that the realizations occurred to me in life– over the course of 3 years in total.
Self-Love begins as a found-poem to myself, but organized from the keyboard suggestion button being clicked repeatedly. Ode is an almost classical ode to self written as if during an out of body experience, and Pure is list almost a checklist of bad mental health practices that I charge myself with eradicating in order to give myself permission to love myself fully!
