‘November Ninth’ By Danielle Paul

My short story details my encounter with death and what should have been a deadly car accident. As I mention in my submission, I struggled to come to terms with the horrifying fact that I was almost both a victim and a cause of death. This piece is special to me as I have documented the unique experience in which I was able to shake Death’s hand and say, “not today, but someday.”

Thank you very much for reading my submission. The “Women Write Now: Women in Trauma” is a beautiful project; I anticipate it will help many individuals to cope and heal from tragic accidents and experiences.

Kind regards,
Danielle Paul
