The inspiration for this short story came from a few different relationships that I know very well. One of them being my own. I have heard so many different people talk about addiction this and addicts that, I decided to put the story out there from a real recovering addict who happens to love someone else who is also a recovering addict from a completely different addiction, in hopes of helping others understand and possibly clearing up some of the misconception of addiction.
