In a broken world, a program is implemented to erase racism and social inequity. Newborn babies are placed in “pools,” and, based on a Government Program, are blindly redistributed to mothers who gave birth that same day. The story chronicles one couple’s experience as they undergo this radical experience, leaving the reader to mitigate what is just, and what is just too far.
