Recounts this blind man’s solo journey to New York City during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays as one of the 2016 Amtrak Writers in Residence. Follows the story from what I was feeling and thinking while applying up through when I found out I won through the preparation for the trip to actually going on my adventure through to making it back home and how the event effected me. I share the lessons I had to learn or relearn in order to accomplish this big goal. Its intended to show people how they too can accomplish their own big goals and dreams. Because as many people have said if I can do it, then what is their excuse.
