This is a story of a rare neurological condition that affects my speech. It starts in the 1960s to the present day. The story is about a dysfunctional working class family in Liverpool. It will take the reader to London, New York, Savannah, Los Angeles and back to London. Many people come from dysfunctional families however, this is not a story of someone turning their life around after drug abuse from a traumatic upbringing. It is a story of a life that was always on track. What is different is due to trauma, the author’s brain is biochemically altered without knowing. The condition will weave throughout the story until it is finally diagnosed in 2017. It is a story of humour, sadness and raw emotion. I have been published in America and Europe for medical writing which is of course very different writing.
