‘Under the Red Carpet of Babylon’ By David M. Agrela

A network page assigned to “wrangle” talent at the biggest movie award show of the year is assigned to keep the show’s alcoholic disgraced comic host sober for the duration. But he’s a problem drinker himself, so it’s a dubious order. He and other wranglers assist, escort and babysit talent (read: movie stars) over the course of two days with drama, humor, conflict, self-actualization, retribution, betrayal and redemption. There’s a love triangle and the wranglers must often decide whether to serve their charges to their best ability–or remain faithful to the strict but unwritten “page code” about staying invisible while doing their jobs.
