‘There’s No Such Thing as a Troll’ by WIlliam Urslek

There’s No Such Thing as a Troll” is my novel that features the story of a young man who encounters a troll that helps him sort out the troubles he his having at home. Brian, the young man, has an ill mother and a drug addicted father. The burden of this dysfunctional situation leads Brian towards his own path toward mental illness. And when he meets the troll, Hazeal, he’s offered a chance for a new life. But after Brian avoids making a deal with the creature; he realizes that it was a mistake. When he becomes an adult and he is hospitalized for depression, he learns that Hazeal is not a figment of his imagination. Then, Brian searches and finds the troll to see if he can make another deal. Once he does, he winds up choosing a doorway to another dimension. The book may be grouped in the same genre of commercial fiction, narrative fiction, and fantasy but it relates to modern issues such as drug addiction and mental health.
