‘A Scientific Approach to Love: Using Relationship Science as a Lens through Which to Examine this Complex Emotion’ by Marisa Cohen

The goal of this book is to introduce a wide audience to relationship science, an interdisciplinary field which uses research grounded in theory and data to examine how people meet, select their mates, and fall in and out of love. The book will introduce readers to seminal research studies in the field and present theories in an easy-to-understand, user friendly way. A reader need not be a scientist to get a handle on the information presented. Instead, the articles will relate research to everyday experiences intended to reach the readers. In a way, it will be a cross between a relationship science text (which are few and far between) and popular psychology articles. Finally, each article will end with take home tips/questions for the reader to explore so he/she can apply the lessons to the real world.
