‘Rudy the Rougarou – An Unknown Intruder’ by Daniel Reidmiller

‘Rudy the Rougarou – An Unknown Intruder’ is the story about a young boy named Rudy, who happens to be a rougarou (in Louisiana, a rougarou is Cajun for werewolf).  Rudy is patterned after Louisiana’s own legend about the werewolves, or rougarous as the locals call them, that live in the swamps surrounding New Orleans. . Rudy sets out to find his friend, Marshmallow, a raccoon, to have a day of fun, but upon arriving at Marshmallow’s house, he finds a very scared Marshmallow.  Something has been in Marshmallow’s house and eaten all of his food and…it left deep claw marks behind! Rudy and Marshmallow set off to find help in discovering who, or what, had been in Marshmallow’s house.
