From the privileged court life in the capital to the life he chooses as a merchant living among the people of the land, traveling to distant cultures both benevolent and malign he ultimately finds the path of discovery into his ultimate purpose. Drawing on knowledge of Mayan culture and his studies of shamanism, the author has created a world based on history, anthropology and imagination to produce a story that will interest and entertain young and old alike.
