‘LITE YEER Makes School Disappear’ By Maria Obrist

On this Halloween of year 2005 LITE YEER helps her ancestor Roger throw his teacher out of the window. Why? To make school disappear, of course! But Lite’s time travel back to the present turns her into a baby, and she is packed off to live with two aunts who enslave her.

So when the mysterious Angelina offers to send her once again to Roger, she agrees, albeit time traveling is quite like eating a very bad Alice-in-Wonderland cake (so bad that you shrink into a one-year-old). To her aunts’ fury, Lite signs a transportation contract, climbs on a shicho (Angelina’s word for time machine) and sets off for a new life in the seventeenth century.

The problem is, just as Lite leaves her aunts’ kitchen, she meets her brother Marfel in angel form… and soon finds herself caught up in a complot to resist his imminent Big Crunch, that is, the end of the universe and also of school (in a last huge, hellish fire). Marfel actually also wants to make school disappear but by travelling to the future, not to the past. Will any of the two at least speed up time to reach the next vacation faster?
