| My manuscript is a love story about a young girl who has to leave her native Ireland in search of work in Scotland in the early 1940 s.Before her departure she meets and falls in love with a local boy.They planto meet up later and marry.However circumstances do not allow this and the relationship ends.The main character who is Sheila meets a young Scottish Presbyterian.This is an unusual relationship as Sheila is a staunch Roman Catholic.Despite their differences they marry and have two children.The arrival of the children brings problems however as both want them reared in their own religion.Things deteriorate and eventually Sheila brings both children back to Ireland without her husbands knowledge.Sheila settles down in her home village where a number of years later she meets up with her first love. |  |
