‘I choose to be happy’ by Amjad Aun

I am a Syrian Citizen. My brother died in 2008 because of cancer. And we as a Family were drowning in bills. As I was just finishing my high-school with good grades the war started in Syria but luckily I was accepted in the Civil Engineering Faculty in Al-Hassake City. the second year the war was already spreading to al hassake so I had to leave to Damascus to continue my Education but unfortunately Damascus was filled with explosions so I went to Homs City which everyone on this planet knows it by now and, the Same. cars bombing and heavy arms so I decided to go to Germany to continue my Education but my Visa application got rejected because they didn’t believe that I want to study and I am only seeking Asylum well for now at this point I had experienced every little feeling of failure. I considered Asylum but was afraid of the sea journey from turkey to Greece but luckily I found someone who told me that he can provide me a visa to Serbia then I go to Germany from there and again my Visa Application got rejected so I finally decided to go through the sea Journey because I lost hope and in Syria I have no future to build during this crisis, so as I finished getting myself ready suddenly the European Union and Turkey had an Agreement to stop the refugees from coming from.
