#MarketingMondays: Writing In the New Year

New Year

Happy New Year everybody. I hope you had a great holiday season. Now that they are behind us and the new year is ahead we must think about pushing forward with our writing. That is not as easy as one might think. Getting over the holidays and all the fun and craziness that comes with it, is just not easy, trust me I know. Have you ever wondered what might be an excellent way to start the new year of writing? Here are a few ideas and pointers on how to make it easier for you as the writer when starting the writing for this new year.

There are multiple things that someone has probably told you to do and how to get back into the routine of writing. Well, all of them are probably right, and you can combine them all and create your own way of doing things. Use all of your knowledge and skills to help you develop a way of writing for yourself. Doing this will give you the confidence to move forward with your work and be proud of what you have accomplished come year-end.

The number one thing for a writer to do in the new year is just to write. If you do this, you will continue to write throughout the year giving you a reason to push forward throughout the year. Make sure that you continue to keep up with your social media. You will want to stay in connected to your readers. Make a schedule of writing that will help you to keep up with your writing. Stay on schedule, and you don’t have to think about trying to schedule the time to write.

A few other things to consider is that you need to actually write about. You can create an outline and timetable for your book or blog. This will hold you accountable for writing for the year. For example, you can set up a schedule to make sure that you write a chapter a month or so many pages a week. You will have a way to see where you are and where you need to go throughout the year. Keeping up with your schedule will give you a finished product by the end of the year or a complete year of a blog that you can reflect on.

One of the final things that you could do is take a blogging class or a creative writing class. This will help you to understand better what you are doing or trying to do. This will allow you to succeed in the new year and accomplish what you have set out to do for yourself this coming year. Good luck in the new year and here’s to writing all year.
