June is well under way, readers and writers, and to me, that means that it’s vacation time! It seams that everyone is off to the beach or taking a road trip or even just taking a few days off from work. Personally, I just spent a week in South Korea, a mere 13-hour plane ride from my home. This sort of trip really put into perspective my love for the pastime of reading. What is there to do when you’re confined to a single seat from more than half a day? You read! What kind of books do you prefer for your vacations?
And as a writer, I’ve always wondered what kind of inspiration one can draw from travels. Certainly I ate a lot of food I’ve never tasted, and walked more in a span of seven days than I had in a very long time. It was an experience I’ll get to draw from in future works. What experiences can you use?

How do I get onto Top 40?
As stated previously, the Top 40 is the monthly culmination of our Hot 20 lists. Book Idea placement is determined by a formula that takes into account how many votes a Book Idea has gotten in the last month, how quickly they got those votes, and a few other things.
