Howdy, Ladies and Gents! Welcome to February: The Winter that feel like Spring edition. What should be a time for curling up indoors and savoring a book deep in a nest of blankets and pillows feels more like the time of year when writers excuse procrastination because “It’s just so nice outside!” Thankfully, it’s also the time of year when the new books are coming out. What are you eagerly waiting for?

What happened here?
A lot of Book Ideas swapped place this week. Off to Never, Never Land leaped from the 16th sport back up to #8. Rod of Iron fell to #3, and Ladies Lottery Redemption stepped up to #1.Â
Spirits of the Heart spirited itself from #19 to #9 this week, as well, and Three Cheers for Chip jumped from #20 to #10.Â

How do I get onto Top 40?
As stated previously, the Top 40 is the monthly culmination of our Hot 20 lists. Book Idea placement is determined by a formula that takes into account how many votes a Book Idea has gotten in the last month, how quickly they got those votes, and a few other things. We have a few ways to help you make it onto these lists.
For all you DIY authors, SOOP hosts a series of Marketing Monday posts chock full of tips and tricks to getting your audience off the ground. We sure can! If you need help getting your manuscripts proofread, edited, reviewed and published, we can offer those services for hire through our Services Marketplace.
