Saturday SOOP: Hot 20 Book Ideas for 9/17/2016

For all of you following along, we’ve switched out the Top 20 with Sizzlin’ Hot 20. Each week, 20 Book Ideas are ranked based on a formula that takes into account how many votes they actually get each week (vote counts are taken Friday mornings, so get your vote in by then!), how many votes they had when the week started, and a few other factors. Does this seem complicated? Maybe a little. But, the Hot 20 list puts into perspective how our Book Ideas are ACTUALLY doing. The result of that formula is a list that emphasizes recent votes, in other words, how popular a Book Idea really is currently, and thus, how that Book Idea is trending towards getting published. You may notice that the list is no longer in order of highest votes to lowest. And that’s because sometimes the vote total does not fully reflect the Book Idea’s popularity.

Now that you’ve seen the Hot 20 list a few times, be prepared for the end of the month’s Top 40. On the last Saturday of each month, we will produce a list of Book Ideas much like the Hot 20, but with a full display of exactly how much movement the Book Ideas have throughout the month. And lest we forget that everyone likes awards, the Top 40 will be accompanied by Shout Out and Prize-Accompanied Awards like the Highest Debut, Biggest Mover, and the Most Vote Getter.

Now that we’ve established out look ahead, the Hot 20 Book Ideas for September 17, 2016 are…
