‘Survived on Love’ by Katherine Miller

As we go through life, we seek out certain things that we are told to believe are what is meant to be. We find that the journey is not a easy one, and that everyone has their own story. Along the way we meet those who feed our souls, the ones who become a part of our story, the good and the bad, then we find those who are meant to stay, to be a part of the story and see us to the last chapter. More times than not, we take the bad parts and put them away, in places that we would not want to visit again. To later realize that those memories can come back to surface and are better dealt with and not to define who we are but where we come from. As children, my husband and I were raised in different homes, in different worlds. Ones where sex drugs and rock and roll were something that we both found familiar parts of our childhood, and are just a small part of it. We found our innocence taken from us at young ages, ages where dolls and army men should have been our only concerns, and the road ahead, to be one that many would run away from, but we found that road was the one that led us to one another. And in this story, you find 2 broken souls, become whole again when the roads cross paths in the most unexpected way and who find that they have survived on love.
